New to Chiropractic? Welcome to Ogden! If you are wanting to start seeing a Chiropractor look no further. Here at Peak Chiropractic we are excited to welcome you to our community and our practice as we either introduce you to chiropractic as a form of healing or continue the work you started in a previous city.

When you come in for your first appointment, we will have the doctor go over any and all problem areas that you may be experiencing. During this consultation, you will discuss what may be causing these issues and what the best treatment plan for you will be. We will help resolve pain or discomfort in neck, back, or legs. We have a few commonly asked questions below. If your question or concern isn't answered there, please give us a text or call at 801-475-0360. We're happy to answer any and all questions you have! We offer an initial $20 Chiropractic Examination, Consultation and Adjustment. Please feel free to take advantage of this offer whenever you see fit. If you'd rather call to set up at appointment, please mention this offer and we will uphold our end of the bargain. |

Does it hurt to get a chiropractic adjustment?
Short answer, no. When receiving an adjustment you will experience pressure, and some adjustments feel more pressure than others. In some cases, you could experience soreness or muscle discomfort in the following days and that is completely normal. When you get adjusted, you are re-aligning your back, neck, and hips. Your muscles help hold your bones in place, and when they are moved in a way that they aren't used to, they become tender.
If you were injured or in an auto-accident and coming in for whiplash treatment or recovery, there is a small chance of pain. Your body was moved very fast in a way it wasn't expecting and was unable to prepare for. Our doctor will go over any and all pain you might feel during the consultation. |
Can a Chiropractor relieve my back pain?
Chiropractic health was specifically created to help people relieve back pain in a way that is highly effective and non-invasive. Chiropractors help treat disorders of the musculoskeletal system and/or the nervous system. Chiropractors are able to see where the pain is coming from and can manipulate your back into its proper alignment. They can typically resolve back pain in seconds.

Are Chiropractors Doctors?
Chiropractors are Doctors of Chiropractic. Chiropractors start with 4 years of pre-medical under-graduate school. This schooling includes, but isn't limited to, biology, inorganic and organic chemistry, physics, and psychology labs. After 90 credits (the equivalent to a Bachelors Degree) they are able to apply to a School of Chiropractics: a 4-year program with a minimum of 4,200 hours of classroom time, lab experience, and clinical experience. Once out of school, Chiropractors have to pass a Final Exam and understand the rules and laws of the state they are practicing in. With 8 years of schooling under their belts, Chiropractors are Doctors. They are very knowledgeable in how the body works and techniques they can do to get your body moving correctly.
Dr. Jeremy Griffin is our Chiropractor at Peak Chiropractic. He graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic in 2006, continues to take classes in order to stay updated with new techniques, and has been working as a Chiropractor for over 15 years. Rest assured. you are in good hands. |
Why does your back make a cracking sound?
This is a very common question and one that people should know the answer to. The sound you hear is caused by the change of pressure in your joint. There is a gas bubble trapped, and when you're adjusted, that bubble is released. It's the same sound you hear when you crack your knuckles. Nothing is breaking or cracking, just sliding back into its correct place.
